Feel strange asking, but where else can you ask gear queer questions like this?!

Anyone know if the mannequin foam heads will support a helmet for display and storage? Having a hard time coming up with something that would look halfway decent in the gun room.

Here you go

TDunn has one in silver and I got two in black after seeing his.

I like em for pictures.

Years ago I asked my wife to get me some styrofoam wig heads.  Since she was doing mobile work at the time, she picked them up on the way back to her hub one day.  She and her paramedic convinced themselves that I was planning to use them as targets, but instead I wanted them to make these:

I had a couple left over and found them useful for doing this:

She has since gotten me one of the "fancy" ones like Player, except that mine is caucasian.

I came up with a custom solution.  We have some glass heads at work in some of our old SHOT show gear. I'll probably end up with one of those down the road.

Are the sturdy enough where you would feel comfortable leaving a unit mounted on the helmet and store this way? Thank you for the link!

Yes, I used to have one on my night stand in the bedroom with helmet and NODs mounted. I had one female companion tell me that she almost didn't sleep with me on night # one because she thought it was creepy. (She apparently got over it) but I usually have at least one somewhere I the house with a rig on it.

Edit: Most girls mention that it's creepy if they see it in the office etc even after I moved it.

If you felt comfotable enough to have a mounted unit and that it would be stable around the unstable companions than that is good enough for me. Appreciated.
