| Anyone have any reviews? How much better is it than the 1st Gen? |
|
I ordered one in the morning of June 25th when it was first announced that it was shipping but I've been getting lots of BS from FLIR when I did not receive the unit by July 3rd.
Can't really find any reviews that aren't from normal consumers. Makes me wonder if they only had a handful available to ship. |

I've seen some reviews from tech blogs, but the longest distance I've seen from them is about 10'. I know TheHorta did a test with the Gen 1 to about 75 yards at night. I'd like to see something like that. |

I have the Seek and the FlirOne, I like them both. There was just a Firmware Update for the FlirOne today while I was using it to video tape the filling of a 40 liter Dewar flask with 40 liters of minus 475 degree liquid nitrogen, worked extremely well. https://scontent-mia1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/11694881_934426473283722_7848197843817408539_n.jpg?oh=eb806f8aa29b5cb3ef5591ecbc2e33eb&oe=565C3DDB That is a cool photo! |

There is about $5 million plus worth of genetically engineered recombinant viruses in that tank that are used for human gene therapy clinical trials and took decades to clone. ![]() My translation: It's some expensive shit that will probably end the human race.
