Examples? This interest me to operating a boat at night. Don't need to see my hand in front of my face but a fast transition to say 2 ft. would be the diggidy.

It's "something something depth of field something aperture something exit pupil size something something focal distance something."  That's why it works.  






You do lose a lot of light (surprise surprise) with any of these devices - so they're not "100% of the time" devices, at least not for me - but they're nice to have in the kit bag.

We stopped carrying them simply due to the fact there were other alternatives that got the job done better, in our opinion.

No matter what is used there will always be some light loss with these types of devices.  The RFR had no light loss....

damn....i have the refocus ring, and i like it but it could be improved upon.....like that damn focus enhancer....

fuck now im trying to talk myself out of buying that....
