| Seems like an older unit. Any idea what I should pay for one in used condition? I'm thinking $500 but curious what you guys think. |

Its a 160x120 core. With 2 different lens options. 500 would be a good deal for you.
Probably the nearest competitor from the same era would be the older Raytheon MX-1/ X100xp and X150XP's and the cheapest I've seen those go for is about 1-1.5k but their form factor is much better (smaller). |
| it is a 160x120 fixed 3x (approximately) unit that takes 4xAA batteries. I would think it is worth way more than $500, imho, but if you can get it for that so long as it's fully functional, jump on it. I enjoyed that model at one point in time and do not regret it one bit. |

I enjoyed that model at one point in time and do not regret it one bit. There were 2 lens options in the literature I saw, 3x (50mm)and 1x (30mm) or so. I imagine the 3x is the more useful of the two for long range detection based on my experience with the earlier raytheon units. |

Dont count on sending it back to FLIR for repair. They discontinued those years ago and no spare parts available. yea, I figured that out when I dropped mine they wanted to charge me $500 or so to evaluate it with no guarantee of repair. I cut my losses and sold it for pennies on the dollar to an very smart EE who made something of it |
