Interesting.
Here's a 46 page document about them, plus other models and image intensifiers, perhaps it might help with some info. http://www.slideshare.net/bobyskuyMM/pr-1-00002 |

So recently I acquired these googles. From what I could find on the internet, this is basically current russian "ANVIS". They are in pretty bad shape, missing some screws and wires and most importantly tubes, but should be easy enough to repair. I was wondering if any one of you fine gentlemen ever heard or better yet owned these, since I'd love to know more about them, what they are worth and maybe get some advice on the repairs. Based on my measuring I'm pretty sure they use F9810 (MX-10130) tubes and they probably use the same helmet mount as the NVU-7, but Im not really sure. http://i.imgur.com/t2XERXjl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ykoOIG9l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/uvILFObl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jZ4aAfql.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VoDmJV2l.jpg I am not certain these would use an MX-10130 tube... the MX-10130 tube doesn't have a fiberoptic twist at the end and these optics don't look to me (from pics) to have an optical inverter built into the eyepiece... Maybe a fat ANVIS? or some other Russian made tube... G. |

The document I posted mentioned inverting tubes for that model of goggle.
But when you go down a few pages to the image intensifiers, I'm thinking the system might use some of the ones listed. They mention an 18mm Gen 3 image intensifer model "58G-01" and a "218G" on page 12. |
| Yeah I made a mistake, sorry about that, I meant MX-10160 (F9800) which is used in western ANVIS style googles right? My assumption is based on inner diameter which is 36.8mm - that is just about 1.448 inches. As for the power, neg. contact is the whole thing and pos. was probably supplied by small wires (missing, but there are still small holes in just about the right spots). I'm not really sure how the tubes are supposed to hold in place, knowing russian tech I wouldn't be surprised if they just wedged it with a piece of rubber :D |
