Which if either of these would work for this project?? I am a little confused as to how to tell which objective lens I should use. I want a very decent one though.. I want this project to perform well.

The first lens looks very nice - What is the project specifically? I assume a Cascade Tube NV project? I don't know that lens, but it looks like it would be very good. However you can get a F1.4 50mm lens cheaply - So you are paying a lot more for a 68mm lens. Usually, a 75mm F1.3 TV lens ( C-mount 1" format ) is recommended. Typically go for around $100 to $150 Regards David

good lenses at reasonable price pop up from time to time,,,

That's a nice lens :) David oh yes,it is worth its price. it would be perfect when used with 18mm FO input tube. disadvantage of these lenses is absence of iris diaphragm,which would be useful at twilight and full moon conditions. however iris diaphragm can be added to lens cap. small $3.50 worth iris diaphragm from surplus shed. 
aperture range is from 1 to 7..8mm.
