I have a Thor 640 5x 100mm thermal scope that I am sighting in for the first time this weekend. I've read the instructions and used an older Thor before, but I'm stumped on how to sight this thing in. I went into the menu setting to move the reticle and then wanted to save the settings and start shooting. However, I'm stuck at a screen that I can't figure out how to get passed.

When I turn the scope on, it goes straight to the reticle sighting screen where you can change the x/y settings. Then I press "enter" and it goes to the screen above and I can't do anything else. It is supposed to go to the screen where you select the ballistic profile to save it, but It just shows an icon at the bottom left that is not mentioned in the manual. Any ideas?

it looks like a 'take a picture ' icon - looks like a little camera or screenshot etc - are you in the right menu

hold menu button for 2 seconds and see if it exits the "camera" mode

It was camera mode. The other problem I had was the x/y settings were maxed to one side which prevents it from seeing the other menu items. That was the main problem. Thanks!

You may have a stuck "Menu" button.  As in you press it and it gets stuck in the pressed position so it goes into camera mode.

There are 2 places you can adjust x/y. You are adjusting on the first quick access x/y. You need to adjust in a different area.

After start-up push the enter button, you will see the x/y adjustments, push the enter button again, you will see menu 1, push enter again and you will see menu 2. Push the right arrow and you will see the x/y adjust. Now adjust and when you exit by pushing enter the 1,2,3,4 x/y savable points will display. Hold down the corresponding button until you see SV? Ok.

Give me a call if you still have questions. Good luck

Have you had the unit out in the field yet?

if so how do you like the image?

I just got a 336 core 75mm 60hz unit and have not had time to get out in the field with it, as with all the rain fields were muddy.
