Pretty sure that Chip, Vic, et.al. are more up on this than me, since it has been plenty busy lately. The kit does look very functional and most definitely worth checking out closer for folks who run MSA/Sordin/TCI- based headsets. I ran Peltor passive earpro offshore for many years, including hardhat-mounted swing-ups that were damn functional for in-and-out-of high noise areas long before electronic earpro was available. They were also quite effective in keeping your hardhat from flying away around helos or very elevated environmental winds. To be honest, my TCIs run great in both the Ops Core Bumps and MSA MICH, without any hotspots or discomfort now that the systems have been dialed in. The only downside is simultaneous donning/doffing with the Ops Core. The crossover wire must go somewhere for this setup, so I suspect the same consideration exists with this equipment? |
