I have a M845 that is having some power issues.

Example: Put new batteries in, turn switch to 'On'...and it will either take ~5 mins to turn on, or won't turn on at all. It started happening while it was still under warranty. 2 trips to the dealer with no fix, same issues.

Any reliable NV repair shops in Tx(I like to support local business)?

ETA: Looking for reliable shops anywhere, but i'd like to find one in Tx.

Sounds like a sleepy tube.... Not a good thing. Tube may need to be replaced. Did have a Photonis tube do that but buyer informs me it`s come right and has worked perfectly the last couple of months.
In first instance fire it up and just give it a good long run, IE: overnight in a box. Sometimes they are just temperamental.

Vic is probably the guy for this question!

So, turn it on and leave it on overnite?

Say the tube needs replacing, how bad are we talking?

Im not familiar with the m845.. Americans won`t let us have them!!!. From my understanding its a power up / supply problem. How to fix apart from a tube replace I don`t know.
My suggestion to my client was put new batteries in it and run it for 24 hours. Then see how it responds. So far its worked for him. Unfortunatly it was a tube that was only a few months old but he didn`t want to send it back to the Americas for repair at this stage.

You can`t do it any harm running it. If its going to die it will die no matter what.

Good info gentlemen!

I turned it on yesterday and left it on overnite. So far, so good. Seem to be working ok for now.

Thanks y'all!

Not a problem mate, hope it sorted it. Just make sure you run your NV regularly. I fire mine up monthly if not used.
