For my 12th anniversary my wife got what she had been wanting for the last two years, and she very much deserved it.  We upgraded the diamond in her wedding ring to a much bigger stone.  It is absolutley awesome, and I have to say that I am acutally proud for her to wear it around.  It says, I am VERY married.

In fact, this was so well played, that I got the blessing for the NV I have been wanting the last few years as well.

After much more research, looking through several pieces, etc, I ordered everything up over the last few days.  Although I had the blessing, I really had a hard time parting with 3K for Gen 3, so I went high end Gen 2.  I will sell it for a minimal loss if I feel the need to upgrade.  I have an M845 G2+ HP 2.8x scope on the way.  For enhanced viewing pleasure I have Da Torch from TNVC on the way.  I am ditching the VLTOR CASV and replacing it with a Troy Alpha rail.  This will lower the mount height by a quarter inch or so.

Of course I am stoked, and cannot wait until it all gets here this week.  I will post up saome pics as well once I get it all put together.

I think you will be very happy with the M845. If you come into extra cash it is an easy tube upgrade to gen3.

Step 1:  Troy 11" Alpha rail got the alumahyde on it last night.  Mounted it up when I got home.  Torch due in next.

Step 2:  Da Torch showed up a little late tongiht.  UPS is earning their money.

M845 should be here very soon.

Finally.  No more 845's available.  I got the Night Optics NS-540-2HP.  I have it mounted up and have taken a few pics through the tube.  The ones with illumination turned out blurry so I need to get some more of those.

The tube pic is with no moon, partly cloudy, and I live 10 miles out of town.  Needless to say it gets dark out here.  The treeline below is at 200 yds.  With illumination I can easily see under the canopy and through the shadows.  Pretty awesome to me.  It will do me just fine for a night hunting optic.

But rules is rules...

Maybe hide in the closet at night and get a pic with the optic, to stay on topic...
