I purchased a set last year and was trying to do some web research about them but did not have any luck. They are marked ITT NE6001UL, they appear to have a longer then normal PVS-7 tube inside of them as it has an outer extension tube to allow it to fit. The only numbers on the tube was scribed on the side which was 1103570. The only info ITT was able to give me was that they where made in 2001. Any and all help would be gratefull!

I have only seen those on pics once.
NE6001 are said to use slim ANVIS tubes with the additional space used for image inverter.
But I would kill for some images, especially of the tube.

1103570 - the tube was manufactured in late 1999

Wooow, looks like I need to reconsider my previous statement about a slim ANVIS tube being used.
Can you please make more detailed pics form all sides?

Thanks

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics our camera went mia. Its hard to make out the number in pic but it is 1103570. The Gent I purchased this unit from bought it directly through ITT LE Division back in 2001.

Just wooow.....This is indeed an unique device..
I have to say that the reason for using these tubes completely escapes me.
Maybe using up old stocks of 43mm fat ANVIS Gen2 tubes by adding a $100 fibre optic inverter on the back?

Can we assume that the rest of the goggles is just like normal PVS-7? in that case the tube would have to be non-inverted.
Leatherlids, if we already made you to make that many pics, maybe we could go even further and ask about few details of the goggles with the tube removed?
Especially the area where teh tube comes in would be of my great interest.

Thanks, anyway !!!

I was thinking it may be some kind of Gen3 cascade. It has the later oval contacts. I am at a loss. Never even heard of this tube before.

The ITT sticker on the front of the main body where the model and serial number is says GEN 3 and the gent I purchased it from told me that when he purchased it through ITT they had told him it was GEN 3+. Mind you I have never seen anything else listed as a Gen 3+ before.
ITT said something about reinverting the tube? everything else appears to be standard PVS7 with the exception of the 1" spacer. I compared the night time visual quality to a friends early to mid 90's gen3 PVS7 and this one I have blows it out of the water, his was more of a darker green and mine is a more yellowish green.

I will try to take a picture through them tonight and post it up.

Thanks again!
