Has anyone considered mounting an Inforce WML on thier Helmet, White light and IR, How is IR high or low comparable to a Surefire M1?
Looks like a versatile light helmet mounted, thoughts Yea or Nay.

I'm primarily interested in the Inforce WML because of the low light settings for both white and IR lights, looking for something for use in inclosed spaces with a PVS 14 and supressed handgun, I've had problems in the past with IR reflections off white walls or shiney objects. Also easily switched to Rifle mounted if needed.

| I like mine. Can switch back and forth from weapon mounted to helmet mounted in seconds. White light is equivalent to a TLR-1. Haven;t had a chance to use the IR light anywhere extremely dark yet, so hard to judge the performance of that. It's not a long range illuminator, but seems to work great at closer ranges.It's sturdy, lightweight, and the battery life off a single 123 has been pretty impressive. Switching back and forth between white light and IR is easy and solid. |

I like mine, too. The mount is sure and solid. The white light, is as shadowangel said....about that of a TLR-1. The IR is a little too bright for indoors, and covers a mid range area outdoors, up to about 200 yards or so. Its good for shooting on really dark nights where you would normally get lots of splash back and reduction of your pupillary accommodation with much brighter IR lights. Its got more of a flood type beam than spot, to me.
That's alot like the M1IR, except the Inforce has the white light capability whereas the M1IR does not. |
