| Not meaning to flog a dead horse here, but is the GT14 with a Gen II SHP tube going to be as susceptible to recoil as the Gen III PVS-14? I have one that I use on two AR's in 223, one has a scope and the other an Aimpoint. I have used it occassionally on my Grendel. Am I looking for trouble? |

I don't think anyone is really sure, but the GT14 is a pretty strong housing and the SHP tubes have a reputation for toughness. I haven't heard of anyone damaging one through recoil yet though that doesn't mean it can't. Still though I'd probably try it. A DC-powered Gen2 tube is likely to handle it better whichever way you look at it. :) Regards David

If the situation ever arises, you will know :) Beats getting shot by someone using eyeshine to aim or even to alert non-NV carrying persons you are in the area. Regards David
