| Ive been reading and it seems like not to many people like ATN. So if ATN isnt liked so much, how can they still have a market share for such expensive products? It looks like they have found a nice niche in the market and just stay there instead of listening and trying to improve there products. Seems like they have the know how but are just to lazy to put that extra quality in. |

ATN has a couple housings I like. My experience and issues in the past was with customer service and tubes which were questionable at best. They have great marketing skills. They sell to the mass public and in my opinion to many uneducated people in Night Vision Technology. To be fair some of their gear is fine for the recreational user. I would not bet my life on it. They catch a lot of heat for marketing ploys such as "Gen 4" and "White Phosphor ". They sell in numbers and in my opinion quality control has suffered. They do sell some high end gear but much of it is lower end stuff. There is a guy on here that helps out people with ATN scopes. To be honest they seem to be trying harder. The problem is once you lose a customer due to poor customer service it is next to impossible to get them back. Much of the flack they get is self inflicted and some just band wagon bashing. I have owned two ATN scopes many years ago and both had issues. I will never own another ATN product. All this is just my personal opinion.
There are a few (very few) Night Vision dealers who will bend over backwards to make sure their customers are happy. They sell top notch tested gear that they personally use. If you have a problem they will do what is needed to make it right. These are the people who get my business even if it costs me a few dollars more then someone who sells in mass numbers with a cheaper price. These dealers want your business and if a problem comes up you can talk to the head guy instead of some customer service rep who generally could not care less about your problem. They also don't sell cheap junk just to make a buck (many people who buy this cheap junk don't know any better and are out their hard earned money that they could have put towards a quality scope that will suit their needs).
