I have recently acquired a AN/PVS-14 with weapons mount.

How do I determine what generation the tube is?

AN/PVS-14s only exist in Gen3 configuration.
Is the manual gain function working?

All knobs are in working condition.

No doubt Gen3. There are no slim ANVIS tubes with manual gain other than MX-11769 type.. And these are ALL Gen3 tubes.
