Hey all, Can someone tell me why I want a variable gain control? I know I want one, just not why. Thanks! Scott |
Nope as MM stated it is manual adjustment. ABC is a protective circuit to protect the tube. When ABC kicks in fully your resolution goes way down. Variable gain is the function of the power supply in the 11769 series of tubes PRIMARILY used in the PVS 14. the 10160 tube has a fixed gain. NOW that being said I am working on a couple of things to add a way of varying the brightness of the fixed gain 10160 tube buy adding an aperture OR a couple of day filters with varying sized holes in them that will affect the same result. One benefit of this "aperture" is added depth of field. IPSC_GUY SIERRA II ALPHA |
