I am trying to choose a day optic for my AR-10 w/ FF rail. I would eventually like to also get a PVS-22. I noticed that the rear lens of the PVS-22 is 40mm. Does this mean I can only use it in front of a day optic that has an objective lens no bigger than 40mm? Are day scopes with a 44 or 50mm objective lens a no-go with a PVS-22? Thanks. |
The larger objective lens of 44mm or even 50mm is just a way to gather more light for use in dusk and dawn situations. With the PVS 22 you are getting plenty of light from the NVD. The little sleeve they come with to join the two optics might need a mod but all in all it will work JUST FINE. IPSC_GUY SIERRA II ALPHA |
