Victor, I noticed you have added the Night Strike mono to your NV line and wonder about your thoughs on this unit. I looked at buying one of these myself first of this year but could find no feedback about the from other buyers so did not order one. The 2.5 fixed lens looks great to me as All I ever use is the 3x on all my monos and it sure looks to mount behind the eotech good with short distance between the mount and eotech. It looks like the were made to work togather.  Any details you could offer would be great

Hi Terry,

As most know, I've ONLY worked with the highest end Gen 3 units out there. Of course sooo many folks don't have the luxury of obtaining the highest end units out there and so many have asked me what might be out there for good qaulity with some compromise.  To me personally, the biggest issue was tube qaulity.  I could live with some outer blems, just give me the resolution and the glass to see out where I need to.  With the GT units, the tube qaulity is there and the glass is the only small trade-off. The ONLY diffference I noted during the last 2 months of testing these units was the farthest edges of the glass were a tiny bit not as sharp as the 14 or MUM glass.  Most folk who look through the GT units for the first time, hardly notice any difference.  Of course me being me, as I panned the unit around, I saw the edge differences.  Anything in from the edge (approx. 1/8") to the center is NO compromise, they are VERY clean.

As for the body housings, never really a big priority for me.  The MUM at first for me was tricky as I busted the power switch during a high stress night a fews years back when I did not push before turning!  the GT's do have a very nice push button on/off for smple folks like me!

So I guess in closing I hope we've found a new unit to help those who can't afford the highest end Gen 3 gear.  It's always hard to try do the balancing act and it took me a long time to decide and test which units can offer the best compromise of both worlds. Hope this helps.
