All right here is what i got. An Armalite AR10 20" and i am going to buy an NV scope. Now the thing i am wondering is, if i plan to try to shoot out to 200 plus yards at night will the  6x of the scope try to "out run the tube power" Like look beyond the gen 3's range?  A good IR maybe. Are there any functional pro's con's with the 740 760 or than the ovious that come with mag power?

Oh and Victor since you will probably read this, will the ARMS quick change for the raptor system work on a 760?  kinda looks alike. I want to swap back and forth from day to night.

Thanks

The mian difference with the 6x vs. the 4x. is weight, bout a 1LB over the 4x and how much you can see.  I engage man size steel plates at 600M with my 6.8SPC, you will do the same with the 6X.  The 4x, bout 400-500M.  The magnification of the 4x has a SLIGHT birghter image, and I mean slight. The "quick change" you spoke of for the Raptor (4X system) is a modified ARMS#19 that yes you can use for either the 740 of 760 if you desire.  Hope this helps
