Anyone know of the statue or statutes that allows museums (local county museum, but state and federal funded through grants) ownership of NFA items or come into possession of? Do they need to do a Form 10 being a governmental entity? Or is that limited to LEO?
Pretty sure 27 CFR 479.104 covers them, but not 100% sure. |

My read here is that the museum already has them, and people are asking questions about whether they are legally allowed to do so. Correct. Museum already has them and has had them for decades. The SO also has numerous that would possibly be put on display later also. |
