I'm new to the nfa thing. I just got my TS for my sbr. My question is I know you have to carry a copy of your TS with you when you go out to shoot. If it's on a trust do you also need a copy of the trust since your name is on the Tax Stamp also.
My next question is. Can you carry a digital copy of your tax stamp and trust instead of a hard copy. I mean it'd a lot easier Oh also do I just add the sbr to my addendum A. I can just hand write it in. That it right. Just put it on the addundum nothing else. |

Not required to have your form with you under federal law. Some say it's a good idea, but that's opinion not law. Even if someone wanted to see your form I doubt they want to read your trust document. As there are no legal requirements to comply with its your preference as to physical or digital copies, whatever works best in whatever situation you see them being helpful in.

There's a very short list of people you're required to show it to, and a much longer list of people who can arrest you for possession if they want to.
My recommendation is to carry a digital copy on your mobile device, and a hard copy in the vehicle you're traveling in. I'd also have a digital copy accessible from any internet device (email, cloud, etc.) |
