Hey guys, I've got a few questions about my first 1) Im going to put my individual form 1s. I'm going to file for two suppressors (thanks to the guys in the build it yourself thread) and an SBR. My questions are as follows. house up for sale by the end of the month. It may sell in two weeks, or it might take ten months. Is it unwise to file my paperwork now since I may have an address change before its approved? Im pretty confident that I'll still be here when its approved but, I might not be. Also, when I do move, its going to be from Ohio to Indiana in case that makes a difference. Im mostly concerned about box 4a. If this is approved after I move, the city of manufacture will technically be different from what I have on the paperwork. Basically Im ready now and I don't want to wait if I dont have to. county will sign but Im not sure about my local Chief. Id like to use the local PD since they are only a few blocks from my house and it would save me a trip across the county and the hassle of going to the jail. So, I plan on calling the PD to ask if they will sign but Im not sure how or what to ask. I doubt the person who answers the phone will even know what a form 1 or NFA items are. Do you have any suggestions? I have seen other members mention additional documents that need to be filled out. These forms were sent to me in the mail from the gov and are 5320.1 Rev June 14. Page one has questions 1-16 (front and back), page two has question 17 and payment method ( repeat page 1&2) then two pages of instructions and definitions. There should be no other documents to fill out correct? I just need signature, fingerprint cards, and photos attached then Im G2G right? |

1) Since you're considering an out-of-state move, then YES it matters. I wouldn't submit until you know you can remain residing in one state for a year or more. 2) I would just wait until 41F takes effect. Then they won't need to sign. 3) Add 2 FD-258 fingerprint cards (with the ATF-NFA ORI) and you're G2G. |
