I been having my finger print cards printed at my Sheriff's office when I get my form1 and 4's signed.

They charge a nominal fee of $15.00, and I have had up to 6 cards printed at one time for that price.
The prints are digitally stored and the printer is setup for printing standard fingerprint cards, including the NFA/FBI cards that I supply them for printing. Not a problem except for the 26 mile drive one way.

When 41F takes effect, I will nolonger just drive over just for getting my print cards printed.

So my question is where do you who do your own prints are getting your pads and ink from?
Is the ink a special type?
I know once the digital print machine was down for some reason, and they asked if I could come back later.
I explained I was taking time off work, and how far I came. She said no problem, and whipped out the "old school" ink pad, roller and glass plate.

That ink was difficult to get off without the special liquid soap she applied to my fingers.

Buy Sirchie supplies...although you can often find them on eBay for less.

I'd knew you would have an answer, and Thanks You.

That's what I use. My job has them and I usually fingerprint myself. It's too easy.

I had several cards printed while at the local SO , for future NFA purchases.

How long are these good for?  Plan on picking up a few more goodies in the next years as $ allows.

Fingerprints don't change (unless you're injured). So, they should be good forever. On the F1/F4, it clearly spells out the photo needed to be within the last 12 months, and has the same requirement for the CLEO Certification. There's no mention of an expiration for fingerprints.

I'm not saying an examiner won't kick back really old ones, but there's no written rule/guideline that I've seen.
