I read through the Form1 instructions; however, it applies mostly to Short Barrel stuff. It has also been like 5+years since I filled out a Form1.
My plan is to build a 9mm pistol suppressor (w/ Gemtech Booster) using either Diversified Machine or SD Tactical parts. Still on the fence with brands. But my understanding is that I can file/wait for the paperwork while I gather up parts. And once my stamp comes back I can drill out the plugs and endcaps. My question is in regards to: 4d. "Model". I am building a suppressor. Do I need to designate a model? 4f. "Overall". ---How do I determine OAL if I plan on using a build it yourself kit, but do not have the parts yet? ---I am building a 9mm suppressor with a BOOSTER. Do I include the length of the booster or without the booster? 4g. "Serial #". I assume I can use any alphanumeric combination, including something simple like 00001? 13-16. "All the NON US Citizen stuff". Do I fill out any of this with "NA" or just leave it blank? |

Paper or eForms?
For model, if you designate one you have to engrave it. That's the main reason I put N/A for all of mine. For OAL, you need to have a good idea. Most of the end caps add .25". If you're going booster all the time, you'll need to know a length. Get it as close as you can and round up. For SN, you have to come up with one. It has to be Roman letters and Arabic numerals (your basic A-Z and 0-9). The only restriction beyond that is it must have at least one numeral. For example, you can't use SN: BIGWAYLON. It could be all numerals (no letters) if you want, just not all letters. |

So no model designation is require if I do not want one? Thanks for the info. |

Form 1 has been back in eForms for ~18 months. Forms 3 & 4 never came back.
Model is an "if designated" item. Doesn't need to have one. I'd put N/A whether it was paper or eForms if you don't want one. If you do paper, you also put N/A for barrel length...for eForms it won't even have that field once you choose Silencer. |
