brand new to the NFA game and just paid for a trust so i can start purchasing NFA items

i plan to form 1 my m92 pap into a SBR, my question is how do i go about engraving the firearms specifically do i have it engraved as it is in its current form as a pistol with my trust name city and state. Or do i wait until i have an approved form 1 and attach a stock to the SBR?

It doesn't matter, really.

It doesn't have to be engraved now, but it won't hurt to do it. You could engrave every firearm, and screwdriver and salad fork you own if you felt like it. Just needs to be engraved when it's finally assembled as an NFA item.

The one concern some have (especially if it's their first stamp) is making sure the form is approved so that the engraving is correct. For instance, trust doc says Smith Living Trust, you submitted Smith Trust on the form, and it gets rejected. You'd need the form and engraving to match.
