| I have one of the 199trust.com trusts from the sale a while back and just now getting around to filling it out. My Mom is a Notary, will it present a problem if she is the one to notary stamp it, being as how we are related? What about the witness, if the witness is related, will the present a problem? |
| My mom is a notary (and it may vary by state) but she is NOT supposed to notarize anything for which she could have a conflict of interest. So if she is an unbaised third party, it wouldn't matter, if she was mentioned within she wouldn't be able to. Now I also realise it seems a little fishy to have the notary with the same last name so I avoid having my mom notarize anything for me, luckily my aunt (with a different last name) is also a notary so I still have an in! |
