I've tried to search for an answer without success.

In #4, Manufacture, do I put my Trust Name as manufacture of a Short Barrel Rifle or the original manufacture of the lower?

Thanks,

Mike

I've always put the manufacturer off the lower, just like on a Form 1. All forms have been approved that way.

However, I know I had a discussion on here one day where somebody else had theirs approved with Trust name in that field.

And it's definitley trust name (not your name) in Box 1.

That's where the original manufacturer info goes
Your trust isn't manufacturing anything, it's MAKING.

I agree on the maker/manufacturer issue...but:

I'm assuming this was all for a DDLES 9mm SBR that you form 1ed? If so, YOU//YOUR TRUST are the manufacturer, not DDLES. I'm kind of surprised that didn't come up as an issue.

Have you submitted 5320.20s that way? With your name or trust name in the Manufacturer column? I wonder if it's the issue of manufacturer vs maker?

Every one I've ever submitted has had my trust name at the top as the registered owner. Then the manufacturer of the lower listed in the firearms section along with caliber, serial number, etc. Similar to when filling out a Form 1, all of that info came off the lower as it was engraved from manufacturer.

The last several I've sent in had 6 SBRs listed, all with the same owner, but each with a different manufacturer.

I've sent in all of my 5320.20's with myself as the manufacturer (Form 1'd as individual) and they've all been approved. It seems NFA branch will take them either way.

This is one of those cases where it's surprising that the ATF is lenient and takes it either way. I mean these are the exact same people that shit a brick when you put 7.62x39 instead of just 7.62 on an eForm, right? It seems like sometimes they have absolutely zero tolerance for variance, and other times it's like "whatever you wanna do!" Not much tolerance consistancy...
