I called and my stamp was Approved on August 31.  I still have not recieved it in the mail.  Is this normal to wait this long to get it?

After 9/30/2014, you can request a certified copy be sent, but there will be no "stamp" when it arrives.  It is gtg though...

I waited 3 weeks for all 4 of my form 4 stamps.

Form 1 or Form 4? I've had paperwork take two weeks to arrive at my dealer - so it can be delayed a bit.

I had a Form 1 approved on August 26th. I just got the stamp in the mail yesterday, 9/17. I was getting nervous it was lost in the mail and I was never going to see that stamp.

I'm waiting on a form 4 to arrive at my dealer, it was approved on 8-11-14.

While it's not normal, I've seen paper Form 4s take up to five weeks to reach our mailbox from their approval date. The ATF will allow you to request a certified copy 30 days after the approval date.

ATF should make the option of you paying an extra fee to have it sent by Priority Mail therefore increasing the chances of it not getting misplaced or lost.

I still have not received it.  I was really hoping it would be in today's mail.

I don't understand why theres such a difference, some folks get theirs 4 days after approval but we're sitting here several weeks post approval with no word or idea when to expect our shit we paid 200 dollars for.

The original stamped copy for one of my SBSs was lost in the mail - this is what a certified copy looks like.

I still have got nothing in the mail.  It should have been here by now.  Guess I will call them a week from Wednesday and get a certified copy on the way.

I have a different kind of missing stamp. I had two paper form 1's done together at the same time and arrived in the same envalope but only one has an actual stamp. Both are approved and signed. Is this normal? Feels like poor customer service that will never be rectified.

I know the stamp isn't nessicary, but its nice to have after paying and waiting so long.

I had a form4 take six weeks to arrive from the time it was approved.  I submitted for the certified copy after 30 days waiting..  After receiving the certified copy I go that weekend to to my dealer and he received the orginal stamp in the mail that day.

My recommendation is request the certified copy but the original may still show up.  Good luck!

Here is two months of NFA tracker data for days from approval to stamp received:

It's not normal for a stamp to take more than 15 days but it happens.

My first stamp never arrived.  Thirty days after the approval date I faxed the BATF a letter requesting a certified copy of my stamp.  The copy arrived by mail about 9 days later.

I shouldn't have posted in this thread.  I called the ATF yesterday and found out I had two stamps approved on the 20th and no stamps arrived yet.  Now I am counting hours instead of ignoring the pain.
