I sent 2 forms, 5-10 minutes apart.  Both were for SBRs on same truss, exact same everything on form except caliber and S/N.

One got approved yesterday (about 3 weeks) and the other changed to: submitted/in process.

Anyone know what this means?  I would call them but I with my work hours I never have time before they close.

Thx.

Did you log in and look at them? Or just see the emails?

Logged in.  One approved, one not.  Had never logged in and looked before.  My last (and only other E form) one took 4-5 months or so last year so I didn't bother to even check until I got the emails.  I received both emails yesterday.  One email let me know that one was approved, the other email said: changed to approved.

As I stated.  These 2 E-file form 1s were sent within 10 minutes of each other.  Both are identical build with exception of caliber.

I know there is no rhythm or reason to ATF.  Just wondering if this is very abnormal.

We see all kinds if weird stuff. Lots of times those emails come and the form is actually approved even though the email doesn't indicate it. You can view the form and see the stamp and signature.

I wouldn't worry about it for a couple days. No real rhyme or reason to it, but as quick as they're being approved you wouldn't expect more than a couple days between them.

Since EForms will be down most of the day tomorrow, you could send a question to [email protected] or use Ask The Experts, and just ask why you got the notification three weeks later that it changed to Submitted when it was already submitted. Include the permit number and serial number. That may get you an approval tomorrow.
