Change of address is only needed for interstate moves. If it's within the same state, no notification is necessary. For clarification for OP. Same form as linked above, even though it's normally used for temporary transport. You simply check No in Box 2, and use the example wording in Box 5 for permanent change. While suppressors and AOWs are exempt (see Instruction 1 on the form) for transport, I'd fill one out for permanent change...whether required or not. Especially if your already sending in a form for SBR/DD/SBS/MG. |
