Definitely the longest I've ever waited.

I've got 5 form 4's pending June 26th. I got an error letter in mid December, dealer transposed some numbers or got the name of a can wrong. Went into problem status immediately after that because ATF lost the trust docs. I got that corrected immediately. Haven't heard anything in the month since then.
The worst part is that we purchased a bunch of suppressors in hopes that we would have them by deer season. Back then, everyone was quoting 6 months mailbox to mailbox. November came and went and we had hopes of getting them in for coyote season. Now January is melting away and still no stamps. What a nightmare. All of us with June pending dates hit the timing almost perfectly wrong. Any earlier and you would have it by now (my examiner has approved some April and May forms), any later and you would have it by now (because of eforms). |

Quoted:...I got an error letter in mid December... I hate to tell ya, but if you just got the error letter last month, then you're still months away at best. There are some of us that received error letters in the September time frame that still have not received stamps. I would not expect a stamp from an application that went into error status in December, until at least March to April time frame. |

I went pending mid-July, received my error letter early December, returned to ATF mid-December and I'm hoping to see my stamp mid-March. Seems like people are, or at least fairly recently were, getting their stamps about 90-120 days after they received their error letters assuming they made corrections and returned within the 30-day window. |

The good news is that those of use with July pending dates that didn't get error letters are that much farther ahead in the process! See? I can put a positive spin on it! |

Right. The 9 month wait is no longer. I think the last of the 9 month waits have probably come and gone and were at the latest, the May 2013 pendings. I say that because 2 of my 4 Form 4s that went pending in May I got back in 8 months 3 weeks. The other 2 were the errors and I'm still waiting. Anything pending after May, like June, etc. is probably now looking at 10+ month waits--and that's without errors. Thus, OP is way waaaay premature in even starting this thread. People are forgetting about the panic buying induced by 41P that began mid-last year. While E-File came online late last year, I think the panic buying/submissions more than cancelled the effects of E-File out. I guess we'll see... |

However, I'm not a pessimist and I'm hoping its not going to take several more weeks to get from mid May pending stamps (approved mid January) to June 3rd pending stamps. Don't forget that 6 examiners were also added in December. Also, we are waaaay ahead of the ATF41P panic buying. Those didn't get thrown in until the end of August. |

Mine is pending May 22nd and the ATF told me next month. Figure about nine months from pending, which is about eleven months from the mail in date. |

I bet they will break into June pending within the next couple weeks. Which as I already said, means you started this thread like a moth early. I spent an hour on the phone with them yesterday trying to get issues sorted out with moving out of state while Form 1s and Form 4s are pending. Ugh, what a fiasco. I had four Form 4s go pending in May. Two of them went into error status back in September. I found out that one of the two was approved this past Wednesday -- finally. Basically, may pendings are still in full effect. |

I was hoping that as well. They originally told me February back in late September. So far it's looking like they are close to right. From the nfa tracker, I might luck out either the end of this month or the beginning of the next. Anyways, it's way too long. |

Forms mailed: 4/01 Checks cashed: 4/4 Pending: 6/3 Approved: Stamp Received: Examiner: I called in July and was told 6 months, I called in November and was told 9 months from pending, I called again a week ago and was told "it will be done in march" I have been looking at charts and graphs on NFATracker and it seems there may be a linear timeline. There are people who pending May 15 who were approved the 23rd and May 16 who were approved 24th. I know its a long shot but I would say those who went pending early June should be seeing approvals early-mid Feb. |
