Quoted:
Sent my application for an SBR on February 14th of last year and went pending April 11th. My stamp was approved on December 6th, but I still don't have my stamp in hand. Ugh. Bummer! According to NFA Tracker, the average approval to receipt time is 4-7 days. Mine went pending June 6th... Hopefully I will see it around the first of next month. This has been the longest 10 months ever. |

Texas is way behind Arizona. It is state specific on when you will receive it. I'm betting about about a month from now for June 6 pending. |
| I did a form 1 and it was on a trust. I don't know exactly the pending date but I called around June or July so I figured 90days from pending then the shutdown happened which messed I am assuming everyone's dates up. The mailed date from the atf was jan 2nd and I just got it the mail Saturday . I mailed my paper work off the beginning of March. Hope this additional info helps you guys/gals out. |

I sent in my last Form 1 on August 1st for my MP-5 clone. I expect to see it June 2014 I have an SBS that I sent in late July 13, probably went pending Aug sometime. I am considering calling to have it pulled and efiling instead. Wait time for those is 90 days. Edit: ATF Pub 5320-8 Section 6.8 The Form 1 applicant may withdraw the application by submitting a request, in writing, to the Chief, NFA Branch. The applicant may also cancel an approved Form 1 application by submitting a request, in writing, to the Chief, NFA Branch. The request for cancellation must state that the firearm was not made and must include the approved Form 1 with the stamp affixed. The NFA Branch will amend the NFRTR to reflect the withdrawal or cancellation of the application and arrange for the refund of the making tax. A request for cancellation may only be done if the firearm has not already been manufactured. If the firearm is made, the tax liability is incurred and the applicant cannot seek a cancellation. |

What are the chances the wait times will decrease a little as it seems like most of the examiners are approving March submissions now? Surely the panic buying had subsided at that point. I think they will decrease due to the fact that the panic buying has slowed down and they have added a few more examiners in the past 60 days. We will see. |

My thoughts are it will eventually decrease in about a year when they get dug out of the giant mountain of forms, IF there are no more incidents that cause panic buying. I'm not so sure in this day and age if we can go a whole year without panic buying in the gun world. |
