Just wanted to put this out there for those that are keeping track.
Ordered my suppressor from Silencer Shop on 9/17/13 and they e-filed the same day. Just got the reply back from them today (10/29/13) that it has been approved and is on its way to my FFL/SOT. So with the form being submitted before the government shutdown it took 6 weeks to the day for approval. |

Mine took 4 weeks and came back just after the start of the shutdown (when they were still working). |
Waiting on 1 from about 9/27... Not sure if it was efiled or paper. I'm so screwed if I can't file my form 4 before ATF pulls a fast one on trusts/corps.. It's a custom/integral job I've sunk some real blood money and time into, won't be easy to find a new buyer and will break my heart even if I do (yea, it matters to me.. Fuck I spent so much time & money on it).

I've been calling the selling dealer asking about it, and he kept saying he'd check on it and get back with me, then never did. I finally broke down and called the local shop just to check. He said it came with no contact info for me, and figured whoevers it was would be in eventually. I guess two weeks is no big deal all things considered. |

I ordered one from the Silencer Shop on Sep 27th and received a notice today that the Form 3 was received and it's being shipped out. So it looks like this took 6 weeks also. The Form 4 on the other hand.......... Subtract 2.5 weeks for the shutdown - they should be running right around 4 weeks. |

Ordered an SWR Octane 9 from Silencershop on 9/23- Received an email last night (11/06) that it was approved and shipping to my dealer. Not bad considering the gov shutdown. Definately a better transfer experience, and much more seamless than my prior ones from another dealer in TX.

So has anyone had a form 3 submitted after the shutdown ended come back yet? I'm sure they were inundated with forms when the site went back on line, but it's right about the time the wait was down to if you subtract the time they were shut down.
Oh yeah, had the check cashed yesterday for the Form 4 I sent in for the SBR I had hung up by the shutdown. |
