I used the Search function for this topic, so I'm sorry if this issue has already been addressed:  Can I submit a Form 1 for an AR Lower (that says "Mult-Cal") and write "multiple caliber" in the caliber box, if I wanted to put both a 5.56 and a 6.8 SPC SBR upper on it?  Thanks in advance.

Pick one for the form, you can switch back and forth at will after approval.

Some have gotten "multi" approved in the past, but many (most? all?) are being delayed/returned these days unless a specific caliber is listed.

What's really funny is that "Multi" is still an option on the eForms website.  I don't get why since they won't approve it but it's there.

Same reason the insurance exchanges aren't working...

As someone who works in IT, I can tell you that the quality of IT work put out by the government would be utterly unacceptable in the private sector.

Back on topic, as others mentioned, put a caliber in there and feel free to change later.

The Form 1 is for making or assembling it, not using it thereafter. It doesn't matter how many calibers you may want to use, you can only create it in one caliber.

Make with one, use with many.

...and the Multi marking on the lower means nothing. You can build it as a single caliber, just like you can build a rifle on a lower marked "pistol" and a pistol out of a virgin lower that doesn't say "pistol". As well as building a 300BLK, 6.5, 6.8, etc on a lower marked .223/5.56.
