I was curious to know the cost of fingerprint cards for you guys. I was talking to a buddy from NJ and he was saying (not for NFA purposes obviously) that fingerprint cards were $24 a pop.

I know I paid about $10-$15 a piece for mine.

Can you guys tell me where you had yours done and how much the cards were? I'm curious to know the differences between the states and areas.

(This has been cross posted in GD for more exposure too)

ETA: I'm not sure I was clear in my question. I want to know how much it costs for you to be finger printed (cost of card if there is one included). I also want to know what town and agency you went to.

my SD charged $5 the last time I filed as individual---the problem is they only did it twice a week with very limited hours, basicly if you work a normal day job you would have to take off work or leave work early to get it done. I will be putting that on my reply for the purposed rule change

I know the township over does it for free if you live in their township, and $5 per pair if you don't.

ATF provides the cards for free.

I bought a fingerprint pad/kit deal probably 8 or 9 years ago and have just been rolling my own since then.

So while not technically free as the kit cost some $$$ at the time, the fingerprint kit has been fully amortized at this point over 8 to 9 years are a couple dozen sets of prints later so they are basically free at this point.
