My check was cashed 1/17/13  for my first SBR. Tomorrow is exactly 6 months and I get a note from the post master today stating a tractor trailer carrying mail  for my ara caught fire.     I haven't called the NFA once and didn't plan on it but I think I might have to as with my luck my stamp was on the tractor trailer.

I wouldn't get too worried. It probably isn't on that truck if the check was cashed on 1/17. More than likely didn't go pending until Late February, early march. Call the NFA branch and get a pending date and add 6-8 months to that and you will hopefully have your stamp.

Maybe not, following the current delays. Your check was cashed 1/17/13, lets say your pending date was in Febuary. Six months after that is August. So if you don't receive it by then or September then I would get a little anxious.

Cool  I really didn't understand the whole "pending date" thing.   I never really looked into it because I wanted to be surprised when it came.   Thanks guys
