(ETA some clarity; sorry, i forget not everyone understands bank jargon.)
My most recent NFA stamp check cleared my bank on 4/29 as an ACH item (automatic debit), NOT as a check. Since I work for the bank and am at work today, I verified on the back-end it truly cleared as an automated debit; it did not clear as a paper check, nor as a converted electronic check. Looks like the ATF has decided to go digital. This is the transaction description: ATF NFA PAYMENT 130426 1009 PBOA01131160------ 130426 1009 indicates it was sent to the bank for payment on 4/26/13 at 10:09am. The rest is back-end bank coding that wouldnt be useful for you all to know; edited so it cannot be skiptraced. NFA items might begin to process more quickly now. At least the payments will pay sooner than they did as paper items. |

They're always finding ways of getting really quick at taking our money.. Last check I sent was cashed 4 days after I mailed it.
It's providing the service for that money that they need to speed up. But unfortunately they seem to be going the other direction.... |
