A few months back I was referred to this guy online (mynfatrust.net) who sets up NFA trusts for a decent price.  I paid 100 dollars, gave him my info, and he emailed me a 30 page document or so which was to be my trust.

I took this paperwork to the bank, along with a few witnesses and went through and signed all the papers needed, setup my inital funding for the trust in the form of a bank account, and picked up my Form 1 so that I could SBR my pistol lower.  As well as a form 4 for my 762-sdn-6.

My questions to you all is...

Are you familiar with this guy that I purchased my trust from?  I heard he was a good guy to deal with.

and, If so, which paperwork needs to be completed and sent to the ATF out of my trust?

I'm in Florida if that matters.

This thread will answer all of your questions: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_17/257740_Complete_Guide_of_how_to_complete_a_Form_1.html

Submit to NFA:

2 x Form 1 (Double Sided)

1 x Certificate of Compliance

1 x Complete Trust w/ Schedule A

1 x $200 Check made payable to Department of Justice

ETA: I have never heard of the individual who made your trust. I went to a lawyer to set up my trust.

I used a member on the forums named Chris Bass...Sean Cody is another highly regarded source for NFA Trust assistance.......I gotta be honest.....a 30 page trust sucks.

It is what it is if it works...

Does the schedule A have anything or is it left blank?

I am not a person from whom you should seek legal advice...that having been said, I believe the Schedule A needs an item that is retained in the trust...some people put items that they are trying to buy i.e. suppressors...I used a $1 bill.  That has worked for me and is what I would recommend.

Ok.  For example, if you use a 1 dollar bill.  Do you simply write.

1.)  One dollar bill

On the form?

No.  I have the serial number of the $1 bill as well.

If you send me a PM I can send you a copy of my Schedule A.

30 pages? What's in the damn thing?

I think mine is six.

I am not entirely sure which pages are part of the trust and which are not, but this is 30 pages long.  I assume the instructions are not part of the trust.  I will check when I get off work, but I'm fairly certain it's at least 10 pages long.
The notary was surprised and said she has never seen one so thorough.

My trust is 6-7 pages long. I simply wrote $10 bill and no serial number and got back 2 stamps just fine in November.

Looks like you paid someone $100 for them to use quicken, print it off, and send it to you.

Looks like practicing law without a license to me.  That is a felony in Texas.

And this is why it is against the law, no one to help you with questions.  And an unfunded trust in invalid in most states....

I emailed them directly and they were willing to help me in any way that they could.

They helped me figure out which documents I needed to send, which ones I needed to finish in the form of a checklist which made it very easy.

For 100 bucks, they have served me well.
