I am in the process of putting together everything to send off to make my pistol into an SBR and add a can to it.
I understand by doing a Trust it makes the people on it equal owners essentially so they can be in possession of the firearm legally if I am not there. (This isn't so much of a concern to me.) My question is. If I do a Trust is it possible to add someone on it at a later time? or how does that work? IE: If I get married etc... and if so can I start a Trust with only myself named on it, or does it have to have more than one person when it is crafted? With out a Trust, If for some reason I died and I named the SBR to someone in my Will can it be transferred to them after my passing? Are they up shits creek and the gov takes possession? What happens in this scenario? Thank you guys for any help on this matter |

Yes you can add people to the trust by amending the trust.
You will need to have people listed to take over if you pass. If you do the individual route, the NFA Items can transfer tax free to an heir listed in a will. The estate should keep control until transfered. Read the pinned threads. Check the NFA Sample trust for reference. If you are in Texas contact have Bigcbass do the trust. |

When the grantor dies the items in the trust will go to whoever is designated as the beneficiary of the trust on a tax free Form 5. |
