I plan on selling my Reed Knight built Stoner 63A this year.

So that is certainly an option. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/atillman/Stoner%2063/Stoner63ARightSideLarge.jpg thanks for advice. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/atillman/Stoner%2063/TopCoverAssembly.jpg |

Beyond the obvious question (Why sell it?!?!?!), if you are interested in maximizing your price, send it to an auction house (and from my experience, I'd recommend James Julia). The best auction houses do the most advertising and pull in the heavy hitters for rare items like a Stoner. All you need it two deep-pocket bidders both determined to add it to their collection ... and a house like Julia will bring in the fattest wallets.
Even after the commission, your net should be much higher than you can bring in by yourself, because the auction houses do their own expert detailed evaluations and pretty much guarantee that it is what it is. That, alone, will bring more $$$ than an individual offering it for sale. FWIW. That's my experience. YMMV. |
