Called in yesterday to check on my status, went pending in October 2011. The lady on the phone told me that I was in error status. Called dealer, said he got the letter just before I had called. Assuming it is just a typo, any experience on how long the error resultion process takes? Please don't tell me I get to wait another 6 months.
This was a form 4 purchase of a .30 cal can using a trust. Thanks in advance |

two weeks. That's about right. You won't lose your place in line. Your examiner will just set your application off to the side until you get the corrected forms/info to them. Once you get the problem fixed, they should approve and send it out within a few days. |

BTW, do you know what particular error cause thsi problem?? Not sure exactly, but the FFL says he thinks it is an issue with the trust, the way it identifies me. Waiting on a copy of the form 4 to send to the attorney, but from the BATFE form is says it is a name issue. Attorney say's he'll sort it out in short order once all of the data is in hand. Very happy with the service from both on the issue in their immediate responses. |
