I live in a county in Florida where the Sheriff signs off on Form 1's and 4's, so I do not have to use the trust route. My question to those who do is this: Do you ever run into a problem with local LEO's and the trust method.  I could just see getting pulled over for speeding on the way home from the range on a Sunday afternoon and having to explain the trust concept to the officer after he finds out you have a [input NFA item/s here] in the car.  I would be interested in stories about any such encounters and how they played out- good/bad/nuetral.

I've yet to encounter a LEO while I had my NFA items with me, but on my Form 1/4's I have

XXXX Trust
Attn: Me & My Dad, Trustees
address
city, state zipcode

I don't think there would be an issue with it, but then again not all cops are in the know and in TX you can be arrested for possesion of NFA items even if they are registered. But it will be thrown out once a Judge see's it.
