Im just moving across town, but do I need to change my address with the NFA branch?  If so, will a call suffice or is their a form to fill out?  Thanks for your time.

Write them a letter notifying them of your address change. A good idea is to send a second letter and a SASE and ask them to stamp it and return it. This will be your notification that they received your address change. It could take a year for the change to take place and official notification to be sent.

ANY move within the state requires NO notification to the ATF.  You can advise them of your new address if you want but its not required by law unless you cross state lines

Thanks for the explinations.  I think I'll write a letter just to be sure.

I moved 1 county north some 12.5yr ago...  never did a thing,

Been doing ATF 5320.20 for yearly interstate transport with the new address in box 1 since then, and never heard a thing about the different address from them (ATF).

I just realized your in MO .. as I am .. you will need to file the ammended FFL form to the ATF at least 30 days prior to moving (assuming your NFA is not C&R eligible and you have a license).
