I purchased 2 SBRs around Christmas time last December. One is a 6933, the other a BM. The BM arrived in my dealer middle of January. However, the Colt still has not. I called the dealer who I bought the Colt from and asked why is it taking so long. He said he still waiting for approval from the ATF. For those who purchased SBR(s) from an out-of-state dealer, how long did it take for the weapon to be transferred to your in-state dealer?

This will be the first time I will be using a trust so I want to send both SBRs together.

The timeframe my dealer told me is 2-8 weeks. All depends on who the examiner is. That is generally determined by the first letter of the name of transfering dealer or his company. First letter of his last name, or first letter of first word of business name.

I had to Form 3 purchases at the end of last year, both only to 3 to 4 weeks.
