If I have an LLC that’s named “The ABC Co.” do they go by the “T” in “The” or the “A” in” ABC when determining who to assign to?
Also, is there a list of examiners and what letters they are assigned to? |

"The ABC Co." would be assigned to the letter "A" examiner.
There is no accurate list that I am aware of. First, there has been a significant turnover in examiners in the last year. But more important, so many applications are pending right now that they are being moved from examiner to examiner to even out the workload. There's a good chance that your application will be handled by someone other than the letter-assigned examiner. |
| Okay, thanks. It appears there really is no way to predict how long it will take. Even with the NFA timeline thread, there is a huge spread in times. Though unlikely, it could be any day now (pending 17 DEC 09) or it could be March. I guess it’s a good thing the gunsmith is taking his sweet time with the pistol on other work so they overlap. |
