Who do I make the check out to?
The Tacked thread says make it out to the DOJ. My local shop says make it out to the BATFE. Does it matter? thanks, lrc Going down to get my CLEO signiture today and then sending my Form 1 off so I can hurry up and wait. |

I think it says on the back of the form Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives but my experance is they will cash it no matter what you put. I had one cashed in October made out to BATFE and I know DOJ and Debt. of Justice also work. |

Unless it's recently changed, you can make it out to either entity. On the front of the form, where they affix the stamp it tells you to make the check out to "Department of the Justice". I know this works as well as BATFE or ATF. Don't think it matters, they will figure out how to get your money. =) |
