Only if the ATF misses it on the form, and it may cause problems for subsequent transfers.
Correct procedure to change the barrel length (if it's to be a permanent change in the registry) is to send ATF a letter describing the permanent changes, and they'll eventually update the registry to reflect the new configuration. I had a HK53 conversion I was transferring for a customer get held up and sent back for corrections because the guy that shortened it from a 93 to a 53 didn't amend the registry properly, but still got it through to me with a changed barrel length on the F3. When I sent in the F4 for the customer with the shorter (correct) length, it didn't jibe with what was in the registry, even though I had an approved F3 showing the shorter length. |
