My goal here is a clone of an XM177E2. AR variant, in case you didn't know.
My intent is to order a lower from Nodak Spud for the build. Their web page says that they are an 07 license. That's NFA, right? I've sent them an e-mail asking this, but I figure they are more swamped than here. Can they sell a bare lower as the SBR and then can I add the rest of the parts? Or must they sell a completed firearm? I am hoping they can sell a registered, stripped lower since that would save me the "find the engraver" step. |

Not a Nodak link, but here's a link regarding the process of buying a stripped Factory SBR lower from Anvil Arms. If Nodak will do it, it may cost more since they actually have to build the receiver into SBR configuration before stripping it and sending it to your dealer.

My intent is to order a lower from Nodak Spud for the build. Their web page says that they are an 07 license. That's NFA, right? Not necessarily. A type 07 FFL indicates they are a manufacturer of firearms. A type 07 FFL plus a class 2 SOT indicates they are a manufacturer of NFA firearms.
