How would I set up a trust? I've looked through the tacked thread but the link seems to not work and still couldn't get any direct answers.

Or would it be easier to get the CLEO Sig?

I went with the trust route. Everything is done in a few hours including getting it notorized and sticking the stamps on the envelope.

go to quicken.com and download their willmaker, all the trust info is in there.

I am going to be doing the same thing as you H20-Wolf.  Maybe we can help eachother out through the process.

It seems that the quicken willmaker is the first step.  Want to split the cost?

Go for a CLEO signature if you can get one.  It's more hassle up front, but it's less hassle later on.

I found a local lawyer through this site that does "NFA Trusts".  Cost $200.
The trust is written in a way that is SPECIFICALLY geared toward NFA items & Firearms in general.

If you use "willmaker" or any such item... it will fill in the form with any "mistaken" information you provide.
It's also generic.  ATF will NOT check the "correctness of the trust", simply that it exists.  The correctness will
only matter after you have a "problem"... then it may be too late.  Also, many class 3 dealers can refer you to lawyers
that specialize in "gun trusts", check with them.

The choice is yours, but for me $200 was well worth the "piece of mind" and having somebody to back you up if
there is ever a problem.
