If a shotgun with a barrel under 18" is a short barreled shotgun

and

a shotgun with a  barrel under 18", and no stock is an AOW

how come  .410 pistols like the Judge and Bond Arms are just regular pistols?

Because they have rifled barrels and can shoot .45 long colt.

I believe it is because their bore size is under .50 caliber and it is rifled.

OK, but if someone makes a .60 black powder cannon kit without rifling its OK, but if rifling is added its a DD.

gotta love gun laws.

Gun laws make no since.  Never have, never will.  In Indiana you can get your CCW at 18 but cannot buy the pistol or the ammo until you are 21.  But you can "borrow" dear old dad's until you turn 21.
Short barreled shotgun with shoulder stock is not allowed.
Short barreled shotgun without stock, i.e. AOW, ARE allowed.  Huh???
You can deer hunt with rifles but ONLY if the rifle cartridge case is 1.625 inch maximum and .35 caliber or larger.
But you can hunt deer with any .243 cal. or larger rifle cartridge in a handgun.  .45-70 in a handgun, OK.  .45-70 in a LA rifle, illegal.  .243 in a handgun, legal.  .243 in a rifle, illegal.
It makes you want to beat your head against the wall.
